The Team

The team consists of Alzure Environmental Services and our technical partner Zelex Earth Wellness. Alzure was set up in 2015 and is made up of consultants, environmental analysts, groundworks and project management specialists, sales and support executives and associates located in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland and Spain. Zelex came together in 2008 in the USA to form a group of environmental scientists and remediation specialists dedicated to creating tailored, ecologically sound, sustainable and organic solutions to repair damaged ecosystems. These include customized machine plant for continuous remediation, recycling and materials recovery. We have 100% success in environmental and remediation projects.

The broad and deep knowledge and experience of our team allows ALZURE to offer revolutionary and proprietary methods based on the fundamental sciences and to provide exact solutions for specific contamination problems in land and water and highly efficient, sustainable solutions for the circular economy.

The environmental and resource recovery solutions that ALZURE offers are the result of two decades of laboratory research, field trials and refinement by Zelex, our technical partner. This experience has created the ability to measure and assess complex problems and devise tailored solutions to deliver clean ecosystems.

Selected Project Summaries

Below is a small selection from our team's portfolio of remediation projects and consultancy projects on land and water contamination and remediation. The projects were carried out in a variety of types of location, from large open areas to smaller, very tight confines, and with varying degrees of contaminant toxicity and concentration. All projects were completed successfully against contamination targets, timescales and budget. Year Nature of project Outcome
2015 A tricky, in-situ remediation: soil at a steel mill had been heavily contaminated. Contamination levels were extreme and included lead, arsenic, sulphur, calcium & iron. After the geospatial survey, the tailored remediation mixture was designed and applied. The process was successful. The client's requirements were met, reducing the contamination levels by between 65–100%.
2015 An oil spill from a wellhead had affected nearby farmland, reducing the yield of the cotton crop. The client was the oil company. Contamination included TPH, BTEX and salt water. The tailored remediation mixture was created and applied, successfully meeting the client’s target. Cotton yield in the remediated area adjacent to the wellhead is three times greater than on the rest of the farm.
2014 Soil was contaminated with deposits from an oil refinery. The geospatial survey was conducted for the Mexican Secretariat of Environment & Natural Resources (SEMARNAT). The bespoke solution was created and the in-situ scheme was designed to meet target decontamination levels set by SEMARNAT. These were achieved within 14 days.
2014 A serious oil spill onto soil adjacent to battery tanks put the client at risk of significant environmental liabilities. Contamination included TPH & BTEX. The contaminated soil was treated in-situ with tailored remediation mixture. Remediation was successful with resulting in contamination levels below the regulatory authority's threshold requirements.
2014 Drill mud pit with legacy contamination from a disused oil well was made worse by the dumping of fresh drill mud. Main contaminants were TPH, BTEX and salt. Soil was tested and a specific remediation mixture was designed and applied. The process was successful. Soil remains stable and continues to support normal plant growth with grass continuing to grow in the treated area.
2014 Spillage from pipe in an oil & gas facility. Contamination was shallow but covered a large area. TPH & BTEX were the main contaminants. After survey a tailored remediation mixture was created and then applied. The process was successful with the decontamination meeting the requirements of the client.
2013 Pecan trees showed signs of advanced deterioration. Untreated they would die within one season. The survey exposed soil contamination by iron sulphate and salt in a layer at a depth of 0.5m. The soil was treated with a tailored package of restoration, repair, and conditioning components. A bio-enhancement component was injected directly beneath each tree and the irrigation scheme was modified. This remediation rapidly reversed the decline of the tree stock. The trees recovered and now produce a healthy crop.
2012 A water treatment plant to extract oil products from water at a rate of 30,000 litres per day was failing to maintain potable output water due to contaminants. The technical team was engaged to consult. After desktop and laboratory analyses, the team discovered that a specific chemical which the client had recently introduced into the drilling process was disrupting the chemistry of the water treatment reducing the efficiency of the separation of oil from water. The client was advised to remove the new chemical. The advice was followed, solving the problem.
2011 A farmer was planning a new 12-acre orchard on land with poor topsoil. He wanted to plant 9,000 trees to optimise the yield in a sustainable way with reduced use of chemical fertilisers, pesticides and water. Prior to planting the topsoil was treated with a bespoke soil enhancement solution. New trees growing at twice the normal rate expected for the typical soil standard in the area. The first crop is expected at 4-year point rather than the usual 6.
2011 Impaired growth and yield of apples in a 17-acre orchard. 80 metric ton annual yield. The soil was surveyed and restoration and improvement solution designed and applied. Increased yield achieved: 50% in first year, 150% second year, and 250% in third year.
2010 A gas well's water treatment system processing 21,500 litres per day became contaminated. Detailed analysis showed high concentrations of iron sulphate and hydrogen sulphide. The team designed a flocculation-based filtration system using organic materials. The result was near-zero levels of iron sulphate and zero hydrogen sulphide in the treated water.
2008 Remediation of drill mud, cuttings and oil from 11 disused oil wells. Heavy contamination with TPH and BTEX, degraded oil at depths of up to 6 metres. Pools of standing water contaminated with oil and associated compounds. Target was to achieve conditions suitable for site to be classified as non-hazardous and to support tree planting. The remediation scheme involved the on-site processing and decontamination of 158,000m3 of soil. All targets were achieved and plant growth commenced within 1 month of remediation completion.

The list does not include research projects or the significant volume of development activities devoted to desalination processes, medical and sterilisation equipment, the development of natural fire retardant materials and others.
